When COVID put travel on hold, I found myself returning to my earlier journeys through China—not by plane or train, but through thousands of photographs, scattered notes, and memories.

What began as a way to revisit those years gradually became Adventure China: a record of the places I explored, the people I met, and what I discovered along the way. These are not comprehensive travel guides, but personal reflections on journeys that continue to shape how I see China—and, in many ways, how I see the world.

The early journeys, from my first visit in 2010 through 2018, are now complete. My travels in China, however, are far from over. I returned in early 2024 and again the following winter.
